Fallen For Anthro

This Farm Rio dress is on sales guys! So quick snap it up! Wrap dresses are so super flattering no matter what shape or awkward size - like me.
I'm very smitten with it. I know i always say this so i'm sorry for boring you all but it's great for layering! I guess thats a key thing for my wardrobe, everything has to flow through all the seasons!

I currently have India climbing over my head trying to get to my laptop keys. I don't know whether she's sucking the life out of me or she just has insane wrestling strength... either one, she's defo winning. WWE call me.
I can't get over she's already one in under a month. HOWWWWW. I've found myself getting very emotional over it, i just cant help thinking that i'm loosing my baby. Each wonder week has me in awe and i love seeing her grow / turn in to her own being but each leap she's a different person and she will never be that way again. Morbid i know. I just hate time. I'm acting like she's turning 18 and flying the coop! Someone shake the hormones outta me!

On another note, i'm not leaving this blog however i am making a new one... mmm more of a community! So i would love you to join as i want us all to connect and be REAL.

Hair Rut

SOS i'm in a hair rut. Honestly i've been growing my hair for the longest time and although this may sound bizarre to most of you guys as i always wear extensions ... I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT?! So i took to pinterest. Good ole faithful pinnyyyy.

The only time i use hair grips or clips is with my messybun to pin the flyaways. I never thought to use them creatively or to hide away my super annoying growing bangs! Why do we get fringes? They last about 2 weeks before we grow them out... yet every time we think its a good idea.

Heres two mommmmaaaa foxes Gwen Stefani (left) and Amber Fillerup (right) rocking the side clip.

I really loved the look by Amber. So i took this idea and made it my own by making it a little neater and a tighter shape around my ear. What do you think? Are you going to give it a go?

Another short and sweet post incase you guys are as uninspired by your hair as much as i am at the moment.

I've searched high and low on the internet to give you some ideas and hair options , just click on the images below and it will take you straight there.

My clips are super old and although these are not the same they are super similar just a little chunkier ( which i LOVE )

Here are some other super fun options -

My H&M top picks for everyone..even your home

Home Obsessed With Swoon

I've been in this flat through being single, married and now of course with little India Rose. I think it's easy to say i'm home obsessed and it's definitely gone through the ringer with different styles. A ever changing canvas, as you all know from the weekly change around of this living room over on my instagram feed.
We were in need of a new piece that could hide away a few of India's bits that has no real place, like nappies, creams, wipes and diaper bags OH and our camera collection that needed to be taken off the window cill as her grabby little paws were dragging them off.
Our living room is our sanctuary. It has to be full of creativity as it's where we play and brainstorm.

Obviously like everyone else on this entire planet i swoooon after Swoon pieces. Searching in their new arrivals with my list of contradictory requirements.... statement yet subtle, Cosy yet playful, Kid friendly but still adult, Feminine but also masculine. After 5 minutes the entire site was in my basket. Okay i'm lying but if i had the money it would be the truth. COUGH COUGH Swoon call me i need a new sofa ;) . I saw this Ziggy cabinet and it had to be ours. In brass. It's perfect don't you think? So lets have a look inside...

Pretty roomy huh? Ideally i'd like to get some boxes to fit or some more wire baskets that use the space better, however its great to not have bags dangling off the door. This is definitely a forever sturdy piece! The doors click in so India can't pull them free and destroy everything inside which is a added bonus!

Taking a dress through every season

Okay so you buy a dress... it's printed... it has details ... it's super summer / spring.  You then get the fear you need to return it as you'll only wear it for that one hot day in the uk.
DON'T. You bought it for a reason, it made you happy.
You just have to learn how to layer it! Theres no major rule to layering... i think we all just scared as people say you shouldn't wear print on print, this isn't the case.
The more texture and print to a outfit the more interesting YOU and it becomes.
To start off easy if you have a print - pick out a colour and layer a top underneath or even over the top.

Jumpers ugh i love the look of them with dresses as they turn them instantly in to skirts!
The chunkier the better however i get that people worry about that stupid word looking 'fat'.
First of all no ones cares and if they do - they shouldn't be in your life.  Secondly theres a quick trick with a bit of elastic or hairband, grab the corner of the jumper and tie it around the bit of fabric. Then just tuck under.
Giving you a bit of shape and zinched in more at the waist.

Kimonos are a great way to layer its not quite a jumper or cardi weather. Just pop it on and go.
They give a bohemian feel and try them with a belt... you may be surprised.
